it's hard to believe that ten years have passed since 9-11. i was living in san francisco at the time and i remember waking up to a phone call by a friend who told me to turn on the tv immediately. i could not believe what i was seeing. it seemed like the whole nation was in a state of chaos and nobody knew if any other major monuments were on the list to be hit next. home alone, i was frightened and confused. i ended up staying home from work as i didn't feel comfortable driving into the city or near the golden gate bridge. i remember being nervous every time i was in my car on the 101 heading towards the city and continuously praying for safety.
i will never forget this day and am so thankful for all those who make it their mission to protect our country everyday!
