louboutins for toddlers?

my daughter's feet are growing exponentially by the day!  one day the shoe fits, the next day it's too small.  she's only 15 months young and she's already wearing a size 6 or 7 depending on the brand of shoe.

finding toddler shoes in hawaii is like searching for a needle in a haystack.  i have been looking specifically for Stride Rite shoes and the only place that carries them is Nordstrom but the sizes and selection are so limited.  bleh.  so, i ended up going to Zappos.com (always free return shipping -- cheeehoooo!) and purchased four pairs of Stride Rite's and two pairs of Keens in various sizes and styles to see what works for her.

i love the silver Stride Rites shown above but the size 6 is too small and i can't find them anywhere online in something bigger :(  it's sooooo heartbreaking because these are also the shoes that the tiramisu loves the most.  when she saw the shoes for the first time, her eyes lit up and she kept trying to put them on her feet.  we finally got them on and they were a snug fit but she was so proud of them that she was beaming from ear to ear as she walked around the house.  what a bummer.

so, by default, i've narrowed it down to the pink & gray Keens sandals (far left) and the pink & purple mary janes from Stride Rite (second from the right).

this crazy shoe search has inspired me to quit blogging and spend my extra time designing a shoe that grows with the child because it seems a bit ridiculous that tiny little shoes for little people cost more than the shoes i wear!  while i'm at it, maybe i'll commission Mr. Louboutin to design a posh shoe for designer toddlers ;)
