i loooove japanese curry and just discovered the best curry block sauce thingee ever while shopping at Marukai...House Foods KOKUMARO CURRY! not only is the box pretty, but the curry tastes soooo good! it's the perfect combination of spices & sweetness.
the description on the box says Kokumaro is made by blending two different curry sauces. One is "rich curry" slowly cooked with sautéed onion, garlic and other ingredients. The other is "smooth curry" gently simmered with cheese and chutney.
i made a vegetarian curry with white potatoes, okinawan sweet potatoes, carrots, and onion...and poured it over some grilled tofu and raw baby spinach...and sprinkled white sharp cheddar cheese for some extra yum factor. it was delish!
try this Kokumaro stuff and i promise that you will never use S&B Golden Curry again!
ps - i am sparing you from a food photo because curry seems to resemble something that might make you lose your appetite >.< nah, i ate everything before i even thought about snapping a photo! it was that good!
